New Distress Stains
from Ranger Industries & Tim Holtz
Ranger is releasing 25 New Distress Stain Colors late this summer! You can now pre-order them at Nona Designs.
There is the additional color addition of Picket Fence White. It is opaque so it can be used as a base coat for the other Distress Stains, creating pastel hues in your projects. You can also use Picket Fence on the Inkssentials Non-Stick Craft Sheet in conjunction with other Stain colors to achieve unique marbleized effects! It is perfect for swiping over dark papers and cardstocks, too.
Ranger expects to start shipping Distress Stains in August so we'll predict an August/September delivery for you. As with all pre-order items, these delivery dates can change a bit! But if you don't mind waiting, we will fill your orders first-come, first-serve!
We have added a new company to our product offerings: Glitz Designs
There are three new collections coming out this summer and we can't wait to see them up close! The colors and themes are delightful!
The Glitz Designs Blog also gives wonderful layout and usage ideas for these products. I particularly like the see through "Peek-A-Boos", "Paper Layers" and "Whatnots".
I also love Epoxy Stickers... and the Chipboard Albums... actually, I like them all and it's hard to choose!
Here are the three new collections expected late July... we are accepting preorders now!

Millinery Collage
By Linda Cain for Ranger Industries
This is a cute project by Linda Cain posted on her blog and on the Ranger Website.
We posted a supply list for you if you want to try it yourself. Notice how Linda used the Regal Adornment Charm of a Crown for the Dressform Skirt embellishment. Clever! So many nice details and the vintage feel is true!

Clearly For Art (CFA)
Blackout, Whiteout, Clear and Sampler Paks
Have Arrived!
FINALLY! We have received a shipment of the Wendy Vecchi Studio 49 Blackout, Whiteout and Sampler Packs of Clearly For Art Modeling Film.
This is a unique product that is NOT Shrink Plastic... it doesn't shrink! But when you heat it, it becomes malleable and you can shape it while warm and it sets when cool. You can re-heat and re-shape too. Every time you heat it, it will go FLAT and be ready for your next shaping session.
So if you run your CFA through an embossing machine to give it texture, THEN heat it, you'll lose the texture.
But Wendy published a techique using Ranger's Inkssential Metal Foil Tape Sheets over her embossed CFA and the result was the CFA holds the embossing textures!
(The resulting flower shown on her Art Parts project)
If you don't want to use the metal or embossing machines, you can use the film with all kinds of inks and paints, heat and shape, reheat flat, add ink/paint, heat and shape again and again.
Here is a flower Wendy created using the Blackout CFA. We also have a supply list and links to her blog for this project as well.
Here are links to help you get started with the new Clearly For Art!
