We now have these cute fat bottles of 2oz. Color Wash Inks In Stock. Here's what Art Educator Tim Holtz has to say about them!
From Tim Holtz's Blog November 2010:
... i'm so excited i can finally share the news that ranger has revamped, revised, redesigned, and rekindled my love for color wash! this is a product that believe it or not was released the same time distress inks came into the world. i've used this product in my DVD's and have taught many workshops using this very intense textile dye. this innovative formulation of spray colorant has some cool qualities too:
- highly concentrated translucent dyes are formulated for porous surfaces like papers, wood, fabric, ribbons, and canvas.
- when combined with water, the dyes become even more intense and blend throughout your project so a little color wash goes a long way!
- because it is a textile dye, you can use it on natural fabrics for home decor or wearable projects
- coordinates with the popular adirondack palette with 12 colors
now color wash has gotten even better with these qualities:
- same great formulation as the original, but now in a more convenient sized bottle that fits in the palm of your hand.
- a new spraying system to create the look of airbrush with it's revised spray top.
- 4 new bright colors added to the palette: sunset orange, purple twilight, sailboat blue, meadow
so if you haven't worked with this incredible colorant from ranger, check with your local retailer to see if they're getting the new adirondack color wash from ranger - it's shipping now! to show you a few more cool things you can do with color wash, check out this video i did on ranger's website. yes, things just got more colorful indeed...t!m
